How to respond to someone who says that the Bible was written by men

Here’s another statement about the Bible you might hear: ” The Bible was written by men.”

Possible answer: Yes, but those men were were inspired by God to write His Words.  How do we know this?

The Bible states it in 2 Timothy 3:16 that “All scripture is inspirited by God…”

In addition the Bible was written by approximately 40 men of extremely diverse backgrounds over the course of 1500 years. Isaiah was a prophet, Ezra was a priest, Matthew was a tax-collector, John was a fisherman, Paul was a tentmaker, Moses was a shepherd, Luke was a physician. Despite being penned by different authors over 15 centuries, the Bible does not contradict itself.

I can’t tell about something that happened yesterday without contradicting the story of a friend is telling about the same experience on the same day. The only explanation for the Bible is that it actually has one divine author who inspired each human writer.
