6) Attack your email strategically (cont…)
Schedule yourself to get through all of your staff emails before anyone else gets in the office and then schedule at least 2 other 45 minute blocks of time to work on nothing but email resolution.
Turn off your twitter feed and every other distraction for those 45 minutes. Very few people are able to give their complete and full attention to one task for more than 45 minutes. After 45 minutes take a walk around the building or take 3-4 very slow deep breaths and move on to the next project. You will be absolutely amazed at what you can accomplish in 45 minutes completely focused on one thing.
Apply the same principles above to catching up on voice mail messages.
